Manual Service HP DV2000

HP DV2000 system won’t dazzle you with stellar performance, as evidenced by its MobileMark 2005 score of 177. The Intel-powered dv2000t, powered by a 2.0-GHz Core Duo CPU, turned in a much better score of 221. The Nvidia GeForce Go 6150 video card with 256MB of memory yielded a 3DMark03 score of 1,140, which is about average for a midlevel controller, and as such is not the best choice for gaming enthusiasts. The Intel version of this notebook didn’t fare much better, scoring 1,465.

Define the freq hopping parameters

Q:Define the freq. hopping parameters?

Ans:
              Frequency Hopping Parameters

GSM defines the following set of parameters:

Mobile Allocation (MA): Set of frequencies the mobile is allowed to hop over.  Maximum of 63 frequencies can be defined in the MA list.

Hopping Sequence Number (HSN): Determines the hopping order used in the cell.  It is possible to assign 64 different HSNs.  Setting HSN = 0 provides cyclic hopping sequence and HSN = 1 to 63 provide various pseudo-random hopping sequences.

Mobile Allocation Index Offset (MAIO): Determines inside the hopping sequence, which frequency the mobile starts do transmit on.  The value of MAIO ranges between 0 to (N-1) where N is the number of frequencies defined in the MA list.  Presently MAIO is set on per carrier basis.

Motorola has defined an additional parameter, FHI.

Hopping Indicator (FHI): Defines a hopping system, made up by an associated set of frequencies (MA) to hop over and sequence of hopping (HSN).  The value of FHI varies between 0 to 3.  It is possible to define all 4 FHIs in a single cell.

Motorola system allows to define the hopping system on a per timeslot basis.  So different hopping configurations are allowed for different timeslots.  This is very useful for interference averaging and to randomize the distribution of errors.

The Google Adsense Template Phenomenon

For many affiliate marketers, Google Adsense templates are a god-send. In fact, they are now realizing that good money is made from this source of revenue. Try the simple mathematical computation of multiplying those clicks for every page on your website and you get a summation of earnings equivalent to a monthly residual income with that little effort you have made.

Since this form of contextual advertising can be a fast and easy way for website publishers of all sizes to display relevant and text-based Google ads on their websites content pages and earn money in the process, the need for unique graphics and google adsense templates comes into focus (or any other contextual ad provider). Ever-conscious of spam or junk pages, ideal graphics with ideal ad locations make website creation less painful.

How much you will be earning will depend on how much the advertisers are willing to pay. It will depend also on the keywords required. If the keywords the advertiser have chosen are in high demand, you could receive more dollars per click. On the other hand, low demand keywords will earn you just a few cents per click.

How can you start making profits out of your website using Adsense?

1. First, register for an Adsense account. It will only take a few minutes of your time.

2. When the site is accepted, you will be receiving a bit of javascript code to include in your web pages. You can insert this code on as many pages or web sites that you want. The AdWords will start appearing immediately after.

3. You will be earning a few cents or some dollars per click when someone starts clicking on the AdWords displayed on any of your web pages. Trying to earn false revenues by repetitively clicking on your own ads is a no-no. This will result in a penalty or the possibility of your site being eliminated. The money you have already earned may be lost because of this.

4. View your statistics. Adsense earnings can be checked anytime by logging into your web site account.

Once you got your account working, you may still want to pattern them to the many sites that are earning more money than you are. It is important to note that there are factors affecting how your website will perform and the amount of money it will give you.

It is a common practice that when a site earning money, the tendency is for the owner to want to make more out of what they are getting already. It usually takes some time combined with trial and error to attain what you want for your Adsense contents.

Time and some important factors that you can practice and use. Remember to study your server logs and watch for any activity that seems suspicious. Report anything that you may find odd, may it big or small thing.

You may want to consider disabling ads for your own IP address and local geographic area. This will certainly prevent accidents and will not make Google mistake another user as you. You can do through a htaccess file. This will avoid Google mistaking as clicking on your own ads and be kicked out because of it.

But all-in-all, with quality and original content, its a win-win situation if you think more about it. A favor for persons looking for quality content and information. For the persons writing the original content articles. And the person with the quality original content rich website. Of course, the search engines and its advertisers are getting targeted traffic and sales but so what? As long as you are getting something in your favor, it does not really matter what the others are getting for themselves. But with quality and original Google Adsense templates making the job MUCH easier, the only income way is up.

Google AdSense Warning

Click Fraud - Clicks that will get you into trouble with Google AdSense

Clicks that will get you into trouble with Google AdSense or you are already in trouble with Google AdSense

First, the type of clicks (click fraud) listed below is definitely not a cheat list. It is the type of clicks that will let Google triggered their banning fingers. It is the reasons why Google has banned you from their AdSense program.

1. Basic innocent clicker cheat

The website owner is naive or ignorant about Internet technology, affiliate program and did not bother to read Terms of Service document (or other program policy document). He clicks on his own ads (Google AdSense ads) installed on his website. Google does not permit you to clicks ads on your own site.

2. Proxy click cheat

You are familiar with cookies and IP address or may not and make a guessed that if you use a software tool called anonymizer, Google would not be able to trace you, because your identity is obscured by the anonymizer tool. You could also be using proxy server and other rerouting software. Believe me, Google can still trace you and your clicks.

3. Multiple computer clicker cheat

Knowing that Google can smell their cookies on your computer and you are aware that Google can detect if clicks are originated from your computer. So you try to fool Google with the origin of the clicks and you asked your friends, relatives, family members, neighbors and other strange buddies to assist you on a mischievous task: to click on the Google AdSense ads on your website. They obliged and click on the AdSense ads on their computers at home, office and some corner in cyberspace and where not. Google can hear those clicks of yours or your relatives, friends, family members, neighbors and your other strange buddies.

4. Ads Autoclicker cheat

Next, you try ads autoclicker or clickbot / click-bots. These are specialized little program that can automatically "click" on the AdSense ads. Thus they are called click robot or click bot. The clickbot or autoclicker bot will scan your websites, triggered the clicking on the ads every few minutes. Advance autoclicker bot is also capable of cloaking the IP address to fool Google and make your website seems to be very popular worldwide. To cover the track, these clickbots or autoclicker bots will browse around the advertisers sites too while continuing its "clicks task".

5. Paid manual clickers cheat

If you think, auto clicker bots can be traced by Google, you try other option like paying $50 a month to professional AdSense clickers. These are groups of highly specialised Internet surfers with office in the dark rooms in streets corners in third-world countries such as China, India, Pakistan and Nigeria, helping AdSense account owners to earn good amounts of money before their AdSense account is disabled, that is. The professional clickers will browse around your websites, clicking on the ads every few minutes. Because they use human eyes, they know which ads worth more. And to be more convincing they can click a link or two, or sign up free offers or newsletters on the advertiser sites. Google can trace the pattern of the click as well as the origin of click and it wont be long before Google spot the footprint of cheat.

6. Click Rings cheat

Similar to hiring pro clicker, you can use your network. Network is power. Instead of working alone and pay pro clicker to do the job, you can join hands with those with similar objectives and distribute AdSense clicks among themselves. This is the AdSense Click Rings. Joining this click ring network means that your website address will be made known to members, who will regularly browse the website and click on your AdSense ads. In exchange, you will also do the same (return favour). The medium of communication used varies. Some click rings group used chat room, mail-list, bulletin boards or private forum, Yahoo groups as well as Instant Messaging (like MSN or Yahoo Messenger). A bit more complicated is the specialised AdSense exchange software for collecting members website address or URL and displaying others websites for clicking. Thats mean the member surfing or browsing to fellow members website is automatic and member just execute the last job, of clicking the AdSense ads.

7. Newsletter, eBook, ToolBar, browser extension cheat

If you have thousands of email address, you can include AdSense ads in your newsletters and send the newsletters to the subscribers. It is possible that you can get thousands of clicks from one newsletters. You can also create (or hire someone) a free-ware like toolbars, FireFox extension, screensavers or eBooks with your AdSense ads and distribute it free. This is a quick ways to get click but illegal. Google AdSense ads is suppose to be installed on a website not on other media or medium. Those clicks from newsletters, eBooks, screensaver can easily be detected by Google.

8. Visitor cheat (with manipulative words)

Placing words like "Please visit my sponsors" or "Check out the these ads" on your website is cheating. Not an all-out cheating but Google AdSense program policies only allowed text such as "Advertisements" or "Sponsored List". Google discourage you from luring or requesting your visitor to click on the ads because that would not be natural.

9. Spam cheat

This is the highest level all click-frauds, the Maestro of Fraudsters. She spams millions of emails regularly, offering to “satisfy your inner needs if you can help me check on the links on my website”. Of course, email is not the only way. What IRC and instant messaging (IM) are for, after all. She will look for unsuspecting victims, offering something too-good-to-be-true “if only they will visit the website and click on the links”.

10. Click-through-rate cheat

Whichever method(s) above used, there is one limiting condition: the CTR(click-though-rate). Any CTR that exceeds certain percentage (probably around 10%) will raise red flag in Google AdSense back room. To lower the CTR, the professional cheaters will create some pages on the same domain that attracts very high traffic. Some interesting freebies will sure do the tricks. AdSense code is pasted there, thus creating a very high page impressions. Whether or not the the ads are clicked does not matter anyway, because they are targeting low paying keyword that does not have much competition. The fake clicks are, of course, on where the big money is, the low traffic pages stuffed with high-paying keywords.

Toshiba E105 S1402

The Toshiba Satellite E105 is a new 14.1” notebook with a aluminum body sold exclusively through Best Buy. The design moves away from the current rounded styling of the new Toshiba models to a thinner design with squared off edges. With a starting price of $899 this model comes with an Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 processor, Intel integrated graphics, FM tuner, and backlit keyboard. Read our review to find out how it compares to other Toshiba models and if you should consider it for your next notebook.

Toshiba Satellite E105-S1402 specifications:

  • Intel Core 2 Duo processor P8400 2.26GHz (3MB L2 cache, 1066 FSB)
  • Intel 4500MHD Integrated Graphics

  • Hard drive: 320GB 5400rpm SATA 2.5"
  • 8X DVD/RW Double layer Super Multi Drive

  • Battery: 14.4V 75Wh (85Wh as tested)

  • Dimensions: 13.75” x 9.75” x 1.31”
  • Weight: 5lbs 0.9oz
  • Price: $1,099 (Currently sold at BestBuy for $899)

Build and Design
The design of the Toshiba E105 is like the previous generation MacBook Pro, with its squared edge aluminum frame, display bezel shape, and keyboard size. The big difference of course is the lack of Apple logo and the matte finish replaced with the Fusion finish. Overall I really like the look of this model compared to current Toshiba notebooks, since it doesn’t go overboard with every edge needing to be sloped and rounded. The striped color layout is a nice change, moving away from the solid Fusion design across the entire notebook that they use on other Satellite models.

Build quality is well under what I had hoped to see on a new Satellite design and really unexpected with its aluminum body that usually goes hand in hand with higher quality standards. The aluminum shell looks warped along the edges with some areas sticking out along the edges of the palmrest and keyboard trim. Some mating surfaces have gaps that look like they are ready to pull up, such as the area under the touchpad. Toshiba really took things a step down from the previous Satellite models which were praised for their excellent fit and finish.

Display
The 14.1” glossy panel on our E105 was bright and crisp, perfect for watching movies or viewing pictures. Color and contrast were excellent, which is the case for many glossy panels, which helped make bright colors pop and while still showing intricate dark detail. The backlight levels were bright enough for viewing the screen in a bright office environment. Outside viewing on a sunny day might be difficult with the glossy surface, but doable if you found the right viewing angle or a spot of shade.

I really think Toshiba should have at least included a WXGA+ panel, considering the price point and lack of dedicated graphics. The WXGA panel is fine for viewing your average “HD” movie since the panel can show a full 720P image, but for day to day activities the resolution is limiting if you want to show more on the same screen while multitasking.

Keyboard and Touchpad
The E105 sports a fully backlit keyboard with touch sensitive multimedia keys located on the right side for quick access. The keyboard is comfortable to type on for extended periods of time, with soft touch keys that give off a slight click when pressed. Unlike the A305 or U405, the E105 has a matte paint texture on the keys, giving them more traction than the glossy surface found on the other models. Another added benefit is the lack of greasy fingerprints that start to appear after a few hours of typing.

The location of the touch sensitive multimedia keys could be better, like above the keyboard instead of to the side. To fit the buttons on the right side Toshiba had to reduce or move some of the keys on the right side of the keyboard. The right shift key and page navigation keys all had to be modified to make room.

The large Synaptics touchpad was delightful to use, with great sensitivity and a texture that was easy to glide your fingertip across. It had no discernable lag under fast movement and worked very well under a light touch. The touchpad buttons were clicker style, having very shallow feedback with an audible “click” when pressed.

Performance
System performance was great in nearly every category except gaming. The Intel 4500MHD integrated graphics paired with the Intel Core 2 Duo processor handled HD movie decoding with ease and had no trouble handling day to day tasks such as typing documents or browsing the web. Gaming was limited to past generation games, or heavily tweaked games that wouldn’t task the system that much. System boot and shutdown times were quick once some of the preinstalled bloatware was removed. Toshiba really loaded the E105 down with various utilities, including Best Buy GeekSquad support software.

Ports and Features
The port and slot assortment was sparse with the missing VGA port and ExpressCard slot. Toshiba went the way of Apple and reduced the amount of ports for a cleaner look. The E105 offers two USB ports, one USB/eSATA combo port, LAN, HDMI, audio jacks, 5-in 1 card reader, and FM antenna port. The cleaner look is nice, but some users would have really enjoyed the added ports considering how much space is left open on the sides of the E105.

Speakers and Audio
The speakers on the E105 sound fairly anemic, lacking bass and midrange. They are positioned in a forward firing position out the front edge of the palmrest. The location keeps crumbs or dust out of them that might otherwise be dropped in if they were on located above the keyboard, but it means they can be blocked by clothing when you have it on your lap. Peak volume levels were under most 14" and 15” notebooks, but should be adequate for a small room. If you want to go the headphone route you will find much better audio quality.

The FM Tuner is a handy feature if you enjoy listening to local radio stations, but these days with almost every station offering an online stream, it is really unneeded. A TV tuner might have been more useful. Reception was fine in our office with no noticeable interference or static. To use the FM tuner you need to plug in the included external whip antenna, which just looks really weird sticking out the side of a notebook these days.

Battery
I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the battery Toshiba included with the E105. Fitting flush inside the bottom they managed to squeeze a 75Wh battery (around the size of most 9-cell units) to give excellent battery life. I do want to note that the battery in our review model showed an actual capacity of 85Wh, roughly 13% higher capacity than advertised. In our testing with the screen brightness set to 70%, Vista set to the Balanced power profile, and wireless active the system stayed on for 4 hours and 32 minutes. In power saver mode with the screen brightness further reduced the system was on track for an estimated 6 hours and 30 minutes. We were hoping for longer times, considering notebooks like the Lenovo T400 managed to have much lower power consumption rates, getting upwards of 10 hours of battery life with the same capacity battery.

Heat and Noise
The Toshiba E105 managed its heat during normal use quite well staying just above room temperature with mild fan activity. Under heavier loads the notebook warmed up quite a bit which could be felt through the bottom of the case. This is an issue related to using a metal exterior shell, as it transmits heat very well compared to plastic which can insulate up to a point. Fan noise was minimal during basic activity, only spiking during heavier loads. At the fan’s highest speed it could be heard in a small room, but would blend in with more background noise.

Conclusion
The Toshiba Satellite E105 commands the price of a high-end "almost business" notebook, but doesn’t offer the level of performance or build quality you would find from a machine in that category. The aluminum chassis sounds great on paper but it suffered from fit and finish problems that you wouldn’t find for example in an Apple MacBook. Features like the built-in FM tuner could have been better integrated, instead of using the plug-in boom antenna that sticks out of the side of the notebook. If the price was lower and the build quality improved it would be a nice alternative from other Toshiba Satellite notebooks, but in its current form it is hard to recommend against other notebooks in the Toshiba lineup.

Pros:

  • Thin and sleek design
  • Solid performance
  • Built-in FM tuner
  • Backlit keyboard
  • Large flush-mount battery

Cons:

  • Questionable build quality
  • High starting price given the configuration

Cable internet costs a lot of money. It doesnt matter what company you are with they all nickle and dime you like crazy. Here is how to save money on your bill.

Instructions

Things Youll Need:

  • A Cable Modem you own.
  • Assistance from your Cable Internet provider.

Look on the back of your rented modem for the model and brand name. Write these down on a piece of paper.

Install Windows XP

This procedure demonstrates how to install Windows XP Professional. The procedure to install Windows XP home edition is very similar to the professional edition. Since Windows XP Pro is more advanced operating system, it will be used to demonstrate the installation procedure.

The best way install Windows XP is to do a clean install. It is not difficult to perform a clean installation. Before you perform the installation I recommend that you check Windows XP Compatibility List to ensure that your hardware is supported by XP. If your hardware is not on the compatibility list you can check your hardware manufactures website to download the drivers for Windows XP. Save all the necessary drivers onto floppy disks or CD before you start the installation.

All versions of Windows XP CD are bootable. In order to boot from CD/DVD-ROM you need to set the boot sequence. Look for the boot sequence under your BIOS setup and make sure that the first boot device is set to CD/DVD-ROM. You can then perform the following steps to install Windows XP:

Step 1 - Start your PC and place your Windows XP CD in your CD/DVD-ROM drive. Your PC should automatically detect the CD and you will get a message saying "Press any key to boot from CD". Soon as computer starts booting from the CD your will get the following screen:

Windows XP Screenshot - Click to enlarge

Step 2 - At this stage it will ask you to press F6 if you want to install a third party Raid or SCSI driver. If you are using a an IDE Hard Drive then you do not need to press F6. If you are using a SCSI or SATA Hard drive then you must press F6 otherwise Windows will not detect your Hard Drive during the installation. Please make sure you have the Raid drivers on a floppy disk. Normally the drivers are supplied on a CD which you can copy to a floppy disk ready to be installed. If you are not sure how to do this then please read your motherboard manuals for more information.

Step 3 - Press S to Specify that you want to install additional device.

Step 5 - You will see a list of Raid drivers for your HDD. Select the correct driver for your device and press enter.

Windows XP Screenshot - Click to enlarge

Step 6 - You will then get a Windows XP Professional Setup screen. You have the option to do a new Windows install, Repair previous install or quit. Since we are doing a new install we just press Enter to continue.

Upgrading to Windows 7 what XP and Vista users need to know

Microsoft finally announced that there would be six editions of Windows 7, just like therewhere for Windows XP and Windows Vista. The company will release Windows 7 Starter (worldwide only via OEMs), Windows 7 Home Basic (only in emerging markets), Windows 7 Home Premium (retail and OEM), Windows 7 Professional (retail and OEM), Windows 7 Ultimate Edition (retail only during promotions and OEM), and Windows 7 Enterprise (volume licenses).

However, as part of its initiative to simplify the lineup, the software giant will only market Home Premium and Professional to average users. Most will be getting Windows 7 with their next purchase of a desktop, notebook, or netbook. (Speaking of netbooks, Microsoft also noted last week that all editions of Windows 7 will work on netbooks and it will be up to the OEMs discretion as to what editions they want to offer on each product.)

If you wont be going through an OEM, youll either want to purchase a full retail copy of Windows 7, a cheaper upgrade edition, or the OEM version (usually the cheapest and best way). While Microsoft has not given details on pricing for any of the three, the company has agreed to offer upgrade options to both Windows XP and Windows Vista users, and they are worth outlining in detail.

From Windows XP to Windows 7

Information here is still a bit murky because Microsoft has not specified which XP editions will be eligible. The good news is that the company has confirmed that users currently running Windows XP will be able to buy the cheaper upgrade option of Windows 7. However, they will only be able to perform a clean install. The hassle of backing up applications and user data will fall on the user; the upgrade process will not backup anything.

That may come as a shock to some, but Microsoft typically lets users purchase the cheaper upgrade option by owners of the last two releases of Windows (in this case XP and Vista) but the older of the two operating systems usually require a clean install.

From Windows Vista to Windows 7

Microsoft will only allow the following upgrade paths to Vista users. For example, users who purchase an upgrade copy of Windows 7 Professional and have Vista Home Premium will only be able to perform a clean install. Heres the migration list:

  • Windows Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 Home Premium
  • Windows Vista Business to Windows 7 Professional
  • Windows Vista Ultimate to Windows 7 Ultimate

If you are performing an upgrade installation from Windows Vista, the base language must match the target Windows 7 language, you must have about 9GB of free space for the installation, and the installation can only occur on the same partition that holds Windows Vista. Existing applications and user data will be automatically migrated to the new Windows 7 installation.

Clean installs will require about 16GB for the installation process. Unless the user chooses to repartition or format the current partition, Vistas files from C:WINDOWS will be preserved under C:WINDOWS.OLD, just as when upgrading from XP to Vista. Clean installs will also have to be performed when upgrading from a 32-bit version to a 64-bit version.

Windows Anytime Upgrade (WAU)

Once you have some edition of Windows 7 on your system, whether you purchased it via an OEM or just upgraded from Windows XP or Windows Vista, you will be able to upgrade to a "more premium" version of Windows 7 by purchasing an upgrade key to unlock additional features, just as in with Vista. For example, you could start off with Windows Vista Home Premium, upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium, and then later choose to upgrade to Windows 7 Professional.

As with Vista, the same DVD includes the various editions. Unlike with Vista, every edition of Windows 7 is a superset of the previous edition, so you will not lose any features when upgrading.

Windows 7 for free and Ultimate Extras

Some users have argued that Microsoft should release Windows 7 for free to everyone, while others suggest that only Windows Vista users should get Windows 7 for free. Finally, a third group says that Windows 7 should be the final Ultimate Extra that Microsoft gives out to Windows Vista Ultimate users. All three are unlikely scenarios, though I do have something to say about the last one

Last week, Microsoft noted that there would be no Ultimate Extras in Windows 7 Ultimate. Currently, if you upgrade Vista Ultimate to the Windows 7 Ultimate beta, your Ultimate Extras disappear. When I asked Microsoft if this was the expected behavior, I only got an "its still in beta" response. In terms of the fate of Ultimate Extras on Vista, a spokesman told me the software giant still hasnt decided whether Microsoft tinker was going to be the last Ultimate Extra that the company releases.

Assuming that Windows 7 will not end up an Ultimate Extra for Vista, the only way to get Windows 7 for free will be to buy a Vista computer after July 1. In other words, if you purchase a computer with Vista preloaded on it, from July 1, 2009 through January 31, 2010 (OEMs can choose to have an even shorter time frame within the one Microsoft gives), you will have the option to upgrade to Windows 7 for free when it becomes available.

According to a draft of the Windows 7 Technical Guarantee Program that Tech ARP acquired, the January 31 date may still change, depending on when Windows 7 is released.

As you can see, Microsoft is offering many options for moving to Windows 7 on the consumer side. But if the upgrade wont be free, what will it cost? Theres still no word on pricing, but Microsoft is certainly aware of the state of the economy; lets hope the software giant doesnt lose its business sense at a time like this.
